Mathador Chrono is THE game for all players who love mental arithmetic!
Against the clock, alone or with others in multiplayer, the game consists of:
- Solve as many calculations as possible in a limited time
- Use complex operations to score the most points
- Face challenges of increasing difficulty
WITH MATHADOR CHRONO, THE STUDENT
• Develops automatic calculations
• Memorizes multiplication and addition tables
• Is encouraged to use multiplication and division
• Gain speed in calculations
• Takes pleasure in manipulating numbers and operations
Mathador Chrono is an excellent complement to classic mental calculation sessions.
Ideal for students from CE2 to 3rd grade, the application can be used from CE1 by students who already have a command of numbers and a knowledge of multiplication.
HOW TO ACCESS THE GAME?
The game offers three connection modes:
1. Teacher and student mode:
Reserved for teachers or students with a Mathador Classe account, this mode allows unlimited free play and saves your game where you left off. With nearly a hundred items to unlock to enrich your avatar, more than twenty trophies and game statistics, and three levels of difficulty corresponding to school levels, the player progresses at his own pace all year long! You can also play a duel or organize tournaments with friends or students in the class.
2. Parents and General Public:
This mode allows General Public players or parents of students to purchase up to 4 premium game accounts in order to access the unlimited version of the game. It has the same features as the version for students and teachers, and allows you to have duels or tournaments against your friends or your children.
3. Guest Mode:
This free mode gives access to 20 rounds of 3 minutes. It does not require a login with an account but does not allow saving game progress or having access to the features of the unlimited version.
GAME PROCEDURE
Each round offers a series of count-is-good tests for 3 minutes. The goal of the game is to score as many points as possible: by solving as many tests as possible, but also by making your answers more complex to score as many points as possible.
There is for each test at least one Mathador move (use of the 4 operations and the 5 given numbers). The tests proposed within each round are increasingly difficult: the target number is increasingly high and there are fewer and fewer possible solutions. The trophies encourage the player and offer him new challenges to overcome.
The "Duel" mode allows you to face an opponent, each player responding in parallel to the same tests. Whoever has scored the most cumulative points wins the game. Players can play offline, in turn, or almost simultaneously.
The "Tournament" mode allows you to organize tournaments with friends or in class between 4 players minimum.
ABOUT THE EDITOR
The game is published by Réseau Canopé, a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education. It was developed in collaboration with the inventor of the first Mathador game, a math teacher.
The Ministry of National Education has reaffirmed the importance of learning the fundamentals, including mental arithmetic, in particular through the use of games. Mathador is fully in line with this learning dynamic! Games are also recommended in the Villani-Torossian report “21 measures for teaching mathematics”.
